Canada’s leaders in sustainable West Coast design and construction recently celebrated their projects at the 2017 CARE Awards.
Project of the Year was awarded to Christopher Developments and KB Design for Madrona Adagio, a winner of three additional Gold CARE Awards.
Synergy by Falcon Heights Contracting captured five Gold Awards, including Green Builder of the Year – Small Volume for their Built Green Platinum home.
People’s Choice Award went to Travino Square by Mike Geric Construction which also received three Gold CARE Awards, including Green Builder of the Year – Large Volume.
Award for Excellence in Housing Affordability was presented to Wilson Walk, a multi-family project created by BC Housing in Partnership with Pacifica Housing.
The event is as much about celebrating people as the projects.
VRBA’s important Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Gordon Denford, Berwick Retirement Communities and Denford Construction Management Ltd for vision and leadership.
Award for Best Trade was presented to MGM Mechanical for their attention to detail and customer service.
Steven Hurst, Yellow Sheet Construction Data won the Bill Wansbrough Memorial Award for important contribution to the industry.
The Building Better Futures Community Award was presented to Coast Capital Savings for their support of the Tour de Rock and Threshold Housing Society. Accompanying this award, VRBA will provide $500 to each of the charities.
